CORNY NEWS

#CancerSucks

Let's Do Something About It

Rich Johnson, his family and volunteers are doing it again. They hand planted the sweet corn this past spring and they will be picking 8-10 times a day filling up the stand. They start fresh each single day.

But here is the incredible part. It’s FREE. You can come and simply take the corn. OR you can throw some cash in where 100% of that money goes to the TTTF RAK Program. In the past 5 years this stand has raised $68,247.

The corn is 100% organic. No pesticide used. And it is the best damn sweet corn in the country!! It’s so good you don’t even need to cook it.

FAQ

When is the stand open?

The best time for the stand is 11am until Dusk + 7 days a week.

Unless we run out of corn.

BUT the stand is there 24/7 and if there is corn on it, it's yours.

How much is the corn?

Technically it's FREE, but people normally average a $1.50 per ear donation. Or More :)

Give what you can because it all goes to TTTF RAK Program. This is all volunteer based!

Can I Peel + Peak?

NO! NO! NO!

At all corn stands this is a big No No. Here is why.

When you peel + peak and see a couple bad spots it's on the part you'll cut off anyways, and 95% of that ear is 100% good! Don't let it go to waste.

We beg you PLEASE DO NOT PEEL & PEAK

Can I eat this raw?

This corn? YES!!! All sweet corn? No.

Try it and you'll know why you can.

How can you run out of corn then have more the next day?

Well that's simple. In the spring we don't plant all the corn at the same time. We stagger the planting throughout the spring so we have fresh corn every week through September.

What makes POPS the best Corn?

Well Love! Each corn seed is planted one at a time buy a human volunteer hand (See the pics above). The fields are watered via a local water spot and we do creative things like play talk radio in the fields to keep the deer away. This corn is 100% organic and all these things, plus the type of corn, make the best corn you will ever eat raw or cooked.
